2013 Range Rover caught on video
Just last month we had spy shots of the new Range Rover – due as a 2013 car – as it ploughed round roads in the Midlands. And now we can go one better, with the new Range Rover caught on video in Germany. James May won’t be pleased, but Land Rover are busy doing what every car maker, even makers of high-end SUVs, do these days, and that’s plough endlessly round the Nurburgring to tune the ride and handling.
The Subaru XV Black Limited Edition
Subaru launched their XV SUV – basically a high-riding Crossover Impreza – back in 2012, and it was a decent offering. But by this summer they were looking to add a bit more fizz to sales and decided there was room to make substantial cuts in the list price of the XV, taking it down by a significant £2300 right across the range. Now, with prices cut back and the XV starting from £18,995, it seems Subaru has decided it’s time to shift some more expensive metal, so we’ve got the Subaru XV Black Limited Edition which adds more kit and style and starts at £24,495.
Clarkson & May filming for Top Gear in China
Escaping from the furore over his One Show comments, Jeremy Clarkson is in China with James May filming for Top Gear. After all the grief over his One Show comments (which, although a bit OTT, were actually not his views but an attempt to humorously demonstrate the BBC’s obsession with ‘balance’), Jeremy Clarkson has decamped to China – together with James May – to film for an episode of the new series of Top Gear. It looks like the piece they’re filming revolves around Chinese car clones, with the Shuanghuan Noble (Smart), Shuanghuan CEO (X5) and the Chinese version of MINI – the Lifan 320.
